Real is the most successful U13 team in Reno.

Coaches

Owen Blake is the head coach of the Real team. Owen played collegiately at SMU and professionally for the Dallas Sidekicks of MISL and Livingston F.C. in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was the Gatorade Player of the Year in Alabama in 1994 and 1995 and was named a Parade High School All-American in 1996. Owen is a licensed National D coach.

 

Tryout Information

SBSC Real will be holding try outs on the following dates:

Saturday, June 21st at South Valley Fields, Lower Fields 10:30am – 12:00pm.

Saturday, June 29th at South Valley Fields, Lower Fields 1:00pm – 2:00pm.

 

Arrive 15 minutes early to sign in.  Real will be playing in the U13 age division in the upcoming season; the player’s birth date must be on or after 8-1-2000.

Team Honors

Coach Owen Blake

Owen Blake is the head coach of the Real team. Owen was the Gatorade Player of the Year in Alabama in 1994 and 1995. He was named a Parade High School All-American in 1996. During his early playing days, Owen was named MVP of the Alabama State Cup on four separate occasions. He played with the Houston Texans Soccer Club Boys 78 that won a youth national championship in 1994.  Owen played collegiately at SMU and professionally for the Dallas Sidekicks of MISL and Livingston F.C. in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Coach Scott Andrew

Scott Andrew is the assistant coach of the Real team. Scott’s soccer career spanned twenty years in some of New Zealand’s most established leagues.  North Wellington AFC is where he played senior soccer and was on several championship winning teams.  He was named top goal scorer at the Super League Championships.  Scott played his final three seasons with the first team in the prestigious Wellington Premier League.  Scott also received Player of the Year honors for the Porirua City Indoor Soccer League.
